Breathtaking Retreat with World-Class Dining and Unforgettable Views

This home is straight out of Architectuql Digest. A truly stunning property perched at the top of a bluff looking over a view that’s almost too beautiful to believe!! As if it couldn’t get any better, there was Chef Tony who created one of the finest meals we’ve had on our trip! This place is a must if you’re looking to spoil yourself!

Out of this world hospitality
It was one of the best stay in NZ of our trip. Immaculate and beautifully decorated rooms. So many extras: fresh fruit bow, fluffy sleepers, big basket of high quality skincare products…. A million dollar view out to the bay. We have our own beach. Could have spent all day there without leaving the front door. Little blue penguins after sunset. Endless!
Not to mention Tony, the chef who would cook up something special every meal. It was an absolute highlight of our stay. Alan and Luba is a perfect team to look after anyone walking through their door.
Originally, we had booked for two nights but end up staying 4. It was hard to leave.
Thank you for the incredible experience was offered. Recommend it to anyone.

5 STARS all the way!! We were so fortunate to start our vacation at the Lodge. After four nights, we felt like old friends. The Lodge was spacious, comfortable, and truly special, thanks to Luba, Alan, and Tony. Each morning began with a healthy, plentiful breakfast, and after long days hiking Abel Tasman, we returned to great wine and a delicious three-course dinner prepared by Tony. And if you’re fortunate enough to have Alan step in as chef, his meals are just as exceptional.

Lux amenities, thick towels, soft robes, eco products and plush slippers were all provided. Added bonus we ended up using for the slippers the rest of our trip. The strong shower pressure and cloud bed was made for relaxation. In such a remote area with limited options in food and amenities, we were grateful to stay somewhere that offered convenience, warmth, and genuine hospitality, something we’ve still reminiscent as we wrap up our three-week vacation.

We can’t wait to return someday and catch up with them like old friends!

The house itself is stunning, the surroundings are breathtaking, and what made it unforgettable were the incredible hosts, Luba and Alan. Spoiled for life!!!!

The location overlooking a pearly white beach, blue sea and then the house itself, so beautiful, a gem in terms of location and in terms of decor with modern art. Luba is the best host you can imagine. Always attentive and goes the ‘extra mile’ to please everyone. It was our first place in New Zealand where we had a really good meal, fine dining, prepared by private chef Tony! Nothing breaded or fried, but natural fish and tender beef. The rooms are tastefully decorated and overlook the bay, with a jacuzzi on the deck. Definitely go there if you are in the area, a mega experience!

This lodge is truly luxurious and the gracious hosts put their heart into this place. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the perfectly curated menu with local NZ foods, the plush linens and towels, to the decadent and eco-friendly bath products. It was everything we hoped for and more. We spent our time on beaches, enjoyed the kayaks provided, and watched the stars while relaxing in the jacuzzi. The indoor soaker tub was the cherry on top. This place was absolutely unforgettable.

My husband and I booked three nights at the lodge and didn’t want to leave so we booked another two nights and didn’t want to leave. The lodge and surroundings are stunning. The lodge is close Kaiteriteri and amenities, but when you are there it so peaceful and tranquil you feel a million miles from the crowds and noise. We walked down the private stairs to the secluded beach and swam. From the cove, if you swim out a bit, you can see New Zealand’s famous Split Apple Rock.

As to the amenities in the lodge, it exceeded all our expectations. The owners, Alan and Luba, were so gracious and welcoming. The private chef was amazing. The breakfasts were delicious and the dinners were beautiful. The whole experience was memorable.

I highly recommend the lodge. If you are looking for a luxurious but relaxed place to stay, book this lodge, you will love it.

Private beach Oasis with stunning views and incredible food – ultimate relaxation!
We had such an incredibly restful 5 nights here. ‘Lodge’ is a very humble description for such a spectacular property. A truly stunning home set over 4 levels with beautiful views and a private beach just down the steps. Luba and Alan were amazing hosts with fresh coffee made each morning, breakfast on the table and were always available to help us enjoy our stay. Private chef Tony served up 3 course dinners of delicious, fresh delicacies. Whether you’re soaking up the rays on the golden sand, exploring Split Apple rock in the kayaks, watching a movie on the big screen in the lounge, penguin spotting, soaking in the hot tub or sipping a wine by the fire in the evening you will leave feeling revived and refreshed with some unforgettable memories!

An amazing place to stay! Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We simply cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at the lodge. The host met us upon arrival and made sure our stay was perfection throughout. From herbal tea in the afternoon with fresh berries, to an absolutely delectable dinner and breakfast, our time in kaiteriteri was unforgettable. The views take your breath away from every angle.

We enjoyed the hot tub at sunrise and the kayaks/paddleboards during the day on the private beach. Our bed was incredibly comfortable as well. We wish we could stay forever but will certainly be back.

A Perfect Getaway at a Stunning Lodge
My wife and I had the most incredible stay at this beautiful lodge in Abel Tasman, New Zealand. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views and the serene atmosphere. One of the highlights was having our own private beach—waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the peaceful surroundings was simply magical.
The chef made our experience even more special. He was warm, welcoming, and an exceptional chef! Every breakfast and dinner he prepared was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and incredible attention to detail. Dining while overlooking the stunning scenery made each meal even more memorable.

Beautiful Stay!
What a luxurious hidden gem. It was our favorite place that we stayed in all of South Island. The views were unmatched and the proximity to the park was extremely convenient. Last but not least, our chef was great. Would recommend to any friends looking for a slice of paradise.

We were greeted by the host on arrival, he showed us around the beautiful abode, and then the suite we had booked, which was secluded, palatial, and absolutely amazing, with views that took our breath away. The meals he prepared were delicious and professional. A short walk to the secluded beach for a swim, kayak or paddle board, which are all on offer and made use of. The service, abode and drive to get there were all worth the money spent, if you are contemplating a stay at a luxury lodge this is well worth a splurge.

I traveled the seven seas, to stay in this wonderful location surrounded with firn trees and breathtsking views. i will remember it a lifetime also the chef that comes with it. i cant decide whether to call it Garden Eden or Paradise Beach, so i go for Garden Paradise 🙂

We were lucky enough to find this gem. The location is stunning, the private walkway to the beach is perfect, the availability of kayaks and paddleboards was a bonus, and the hospitality was perfect. Chef was fantastic and we were lucky enough to meet the owners at the end of our stay. Alan and Luba was such a delight. Alan did an amazing job with this home – you’ll love it! We’ve been booking Airbnbs for over 10 years and this is the best place we’ve ever stayed. The location is amazingly beautiful with a gore private beach just steps away. The fact there’s a private chef cooking up restaurant-quality meals for breakfast and dinner every day is just insane. And, finally, the views from the room are just spectacular. Paradise

Great stay for Abel Tasman national park
We had a great 3 night stay at the Lodge by the Beach as a base for a couple of day trips in the Abel Tasman park. Luba and Alan are wonderful hosts and it was a real pleasure to stay with them. Superb communication throughout. Our flight in to Nelson was cancelled due to problems at Wellington and they were completely fine with changing the time of the pick up. Alan and Luba kindly took us to Marahou for one of our trips – we got back from the trip early due to rain in the mid afternoon and Alan was so kind to pop down and pick us up as soon as he heard we had returned. The house is even more amazing than the pictures suggest with breathtaking views of the beach and sea. We stayed in the penthouse room which was very luxurious. Meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared to reflect our different food tolerances. Highly recommended.
