Booking Conditions
These terms and conditions are applicable to all guests booking directly with Lodge by the Beach.
Rates
Tariffs are quoted in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of 15% GST. Rates are per room per night and include accommodation, breakfast, dinner, premium bath and skincare products, kayaks and life vests.
Bookings, Cancellations, Amendments, and Charges
Bookings may be subject to the following cancellation terms:
- Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to arrival are refundable.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance to protect against unforeseen emergencies.
Payment Policy
A credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Payments can be made via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or direct deposit. Please note that credit card payments may incur a surcharge of approximately 1.5–2.5%, depending on the card type.
Children
The lodge does not accommodate children under 12 years of age. However, exceptions may be made upon request. Please contact us directly to discuss your needs.
Hotel Guidelines
- Check-in time: From 2:00 PM
- Check-out time: 11:00 AM
- Flexibility for early check-in or late check-out may be provided but is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
- Smoking is not permitted inside the lodge, suites, or common areas. Guests may smoke in designated outdoor areas.
- Pets are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs.
Limitation of Liability
Lodge by the Beach shall not be liable for loss or damage to a guest’s property unless caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of the lodge. Guests shall be responsible for any loss, damage, or personal injury caused by them during their stay.
Property Disclaimer
The lodge is set in a natural environment containing fauna and flora that may be dangerous. While every effort is made to ensure guest safety, Lodge by the Beach and its staff shall not be held liable for death, injury, or loss/damage resulting from interaction with wildlife.
Force Majeure
Lodge by the Beach shall not be liable for failure to fulfill obligations due to reasons beyond its control, including but not limited to war, natural disasters, pandemics, or governmental restrictions.
Lost Property
Items left behind will be logged and stored securely for up to three months. Unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity after this period.
