D-EDGE Booking System and Payments

Our website uses D-EDGE booking technology and may redirect you to secure-hotel-booking.com or another D-EDGE-operated booking page.

When you use the booking system, D-EDGE and relevant payment providers may process your contact, reservation, billing and payment information. Their own privacy policies, cookie policies and terms may also apply.

Payment card information is handled through secure third-party booking and payment systems and is accessed only where reasonably necessary to manage the reservation, payment or refund.

Overseas Processing and Storage

Some of our technology, booking, payment, email, analytics and cloud service providers may process or store personal information outside New Zealand.

Where required by the Privacy Act 2020, we take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas disclosures are protected by privacy safeguards comparable to those available in New Zealand.

Where an overseas provider processes information only on our behalf, we remain responsible for ensuring that the information is handled appropriately.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to provide booking functionality, maintain security, understand how visitors use the website and measure advertising performance.

These technologies may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, referral source, advertising identifiers and interactions with the website.

Our website currently uses:

  • D-EDGE booking technology and associated booking cookies
  • Google Analytics to understand website use and performance

Google and D-EDGE may process information outside New Zealand and may place their own cookies or similar technologies on your device.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Where a cookie preferences tool is displayed on our website, you may also use it to manage non-essential cookies. Disabling some cookies may affect the functionality of the website or booking system.

Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other external websites or services.

When you visit or interact with an external service, that provider’s own privacy policy and terms will apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independently operated third-party websites.

Data Security

We use reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

Access to personal information is limited to people who reasonably require it for their work or to provide requested services.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a privacy breach has caused or is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required by law.

Booking, payment and business transaction records may be retained for at least seven tax years where required by New Zealand law.

Dietary, allergy, accessibility and other sensitive information will not be retained longer than reasonably necessary, unless you ask us to retain your preferences for a future stay or continued retention is required for a lawful purpose.

When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymise it.

Accessing or Correcting Your Information

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you may:

  • Ask whether we hold personal information about you
  • Request access to that information
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete

You may also ask us to delete personal information that is no longer required. However, we may need to retain some information to comply with legal, accounting, contractual or dispute-resolution obligations.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access or making a correction. We will respond within the time required by New Zealand law.
