My husband and I booked three nights at the lodge and didn’t want to leave so we booked another two nights and didn’t want to leave. The lodge and surroundings are stunning. The lodge is close Kaiteriteri and amenities, but when you are there it so peaceful and tranquil you feel a million miles from the crowds and noise. We walked down the private stairs to the secluded beach and swam. From the cove, if you swim out a bit, you can see New Zealand’s famous Split Apple Rock.
As to the amenities in the lodge, it exceeded all our expectations. The owners, Alan and Luba, were so gracious and welcoming. The private chef was amazing. The breakfasts were delicious and the dinners were beautiful. The whole experience was memorable.
I highly recommend the lodge. If you are looking for a luxurious but relaxed place to stay, book this lodge, you will love it.

An amazing place to stay! Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They had thought of everything to make our stay truly special, from the little details in our room to the warm hospitality throughout. Our room was incredible – sea views, spacious, beautifully presented, and so comfortable. Having our own chef who cooked delicious meals for us was such a treat, and the food was outstanding. The location couldn’t be better, with direct access to a golden beach that felt like our own private paradise. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience – highly recommend to anyone looking for something truly memorable!

We simply cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at the lodge. The host met us upon arrival and made sure our stay was perfection throughout. From herbal tea in the afternoon with fresh berries, to an absolutely delectable dinner and breakfast, our time in kaiteriteri was unforgettable. The views take your breath away from every angle.
We enjoyed the hot tub at sunrise and the kayaks/paddleboards during the day on the private beach. Our bed was incredibly comfortable as well. We wish we could stay forever but will certainly be back.

The food creations are mind blowing and healthy as well. Very comfortable bed and amazing views from every corner. We ended up extending by another night.

A Perfect Getaway at a Stunning Lodge
My wife and I had the most incredible stay at this beautiful lodge in Abel Tasman, New Zealand. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views and the serene atmosphere. One of the highlights was having our own private beach—waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying the peaceful surroundings was simply magical.
The chef made our experience even more special. He was warm, welcoming, and an exceptional chef! Every breakfast and dinner he prepared was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and incredible attention to detail. Dining while overlooking the stunning scenery made each meal even more memorable.
If you’re looking for a relaxing and luxurious escape in nature, this lodge is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful Stay!
What a luxurious hidden gem. It was our favorite place that we stayed in all of South Island. The views were unmatched and the proximity to the park was extremely convenient. Last but not least, our chef was great. Would recommend to any friends looking for a slice of paradise.

We were greeted by the host on arrival, he showed us around the beautiful abode, and then the suite we had booked, which was secluded, palatial, and absolutely amazing, with views that took our breath away. The meals he prepared were delicious and professional. A short walk to the secluded beach for a swim, kayak or paddle board, which are all on offer and made use of. The service, abode and drive to get there were all worth the money spent, if you are contemplating a stay at a luxury lodge this is well worth a splurge.

We had an incredible stay at the Jacuzzi Suite! The room was beautiful, set in a stunning house with breathtaking views over the rocky headlands and beach. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the host and chef, who is not only a lovely person but also an exceptionally talented cook.
Having both breakfast and dinner included was a huge plus, especially since there aren’t many restaurants nearby. Every meal was delicious and carefully prepared, making our stay feel even more special. We also enjoyed the company of other guests and were fortunate to meet the owners, Alan and Luba, on our last night. They were incredibly hospitable and wonderful company, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the home.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with fantastic food and great hospitality, this is the perfect place. Highly recommend!

Backstory from the owners:
During this winter storm, a slip blocked the road and an emergency crew got stranded nearby. They found us in the midst of the storm, and we offered them shelter, a warm dinner, and a comfortable place to stay for the night. They kindly left us these words:
“Alan and Luba are beautiful people with big hearts. They openly welcome two perfect strangers, who were stranded into their retreat when the need was most during the resent storm events.
I would recommend to any one, to enjoy their warmth and hospitality at a marvelous location in paradise”.

Architectural Gem
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge by the Beach. Luba and Alan were gracious and attentive hosts. Their lodge is beautiful and worthy of a spread in Architectural Digest. It is located on a secluded cliff top overlooking the water with beautiful views. Equal distance from the Marlborough Wineries and The Split, we were able to take day trips to visit both areas. Having Alan as our personal chef was an added bonus. Recommend the Lodge to those looking for a quiet getaway.

Everything has been perfect! An amazing place to stay near Abel Tasman with stunning views and a private path to the beach, which was almost completely private. We were so well taken care of and received quick and professional answers to all our questions. We even had last-minute requests that were handled without any issues. The service was excellent.
We hope to have the chance to return to this fantastic accommodation!

Amazing house with attention to every detail! It makes a huge impression and looks even better in reality than in the photos. The hosts treat you like a friend, not a customer and they are amazing! The level of hotels such as Four Seasons, Six Senses or Raffles!

We’ve been booking Airbnbs for over 10 years and this is the best place we’ve ever stayed. The location is amazingly beautiful with a gore private beach just steps away. The fact there’s a private chef cooking up restaurant-quality meals for breakfast and dinner every day is just insane. And, finally, the views from the room are just spectacular. Well worth the price.
